Yessenia Perez tossed a three-inning no-hitter as host Southwest out-classed Miami Lakes, 15-0, Friday afternoon at Tropical Park. The Lady Trojans' first batter of the game reached on an error before Perez retired nine in a row, six by strikeouts. The Lady Eagles (4-2) scored nine runs in the bottom of the first inning on three hits, four walks, two hit batters and two errors. The big hit was a two-run single by Gaby Nuñez. Southwest added five more runs in the second inning. Sherlly Roche capped the rally with a double, her second hit of the game.. She came around to score the 14th run on two wild pitches. The 15-run rule was invoked with none out in the third when Camila Broz led off with a single, took third on a single by Perez and scored on a slow ground ball to short by Yesenia Fonticiella that she beat out for the game-ending hit. Miami Lakes falls to 2-5.
