Host Southwest came from behind to defeat Ferguson, 16-10, Tuesday afternoon at Tropical Park. The Lady Eagles (1-2) jumped out to a 4-0 first inning lead before the Lady Falcons (0-2) scored seven runs in the second inning to go ahead. Both teams scored twice in the third. Southwest's runs came when Ericka Novoa tripled home Jaylin Noboa, then scored on a wild pitch to cut the deficit to 9-6. Pitcher Yessenia Perez' triple highlighted a four-run fourth inning that saw the Lady Eagles go up, 10-9. D'Lani Navarro, who had three hits, homered in a three-run fifth inning and Gaby Nuñez homered during a three-run sixth inning. One of the highlights of the game came in the bottom of the second inning when Yesenia Fonticiella was called out on strikes to apparently end the inning. The teams changed sides but Fonticiella politley pointed out to the plate umpire that he had the count wrong. Her reasoning convinced the umpire, who brought Ferguson back on the field and continued Fonticiella's at-bat.

D'Lani Navarro had three hits including a home run
