In a game added to the schedule at the last minute, Southwest played the most gracious guest Wednesday night at Florida Christian. The Lady Eagles allowed nine walks, hit four batters, committed six errors and threw 12 wild pitches in an 18-3 loss to the Lady Patriots. The only bright spot for Southwest (1-2) was the top of the second inning when they scored all three of their runs. Trailing 2-0, Camilo Broz was hit by a pitch to lead off. Jaylin Novoa's ground ball forced Broz at second and Yessenia Perez followed with a line drive single off the glove of the leaping second baseman. Yesenia Fonticiella laid down a sacrifice bunt and, when the pitcher's throw to first was dropped, Noboa scored and Perez advanced to third. Two wild pitches scored Perez and put Fonticiella at third. Priscilla Roche's ground ball was then bobbled by the first baseman to put the Lady Eagles on top, 3-2. Florida Christian (2-2) scored six runs in the bottom of the inning and ten more in the third to bring the game to a merciful end thanks to the 15-run rule.

Yessenia Perez had the only hit for Southwest
