SOUTHWEST ROUTS CORAL PARK, 18-3 Visiting Coral Park was no match for Southwest Monday afternoon at Tropical Park with the Lady Eagles cruising to an 18-3 victory in a game shortened to three innings by the 15-run rule. Southwest (3-0) scored nine runs in the first inning, seven in the seccond and two in the third before the mercy rule kicked in. And speaking of kicking, the Lady Rams (yes, we know a Ram cannot be female) kicked it around on defense committing six errors. Gaby Nuñez had three hits and scored four runs for Southwest, while winning pitcher Tatiana Perez had three hits and two RBIs. Coral Park falls to 0-5. |
