LADY EAGLES NO-HIT VARELA, 13-0 Tatiana Perez and Gaby Nuñez combined on a 5-inning no-hitter as host Southwest blanked Varela, 13-0, Tuesday afternoon at Tropical Park. Perez struck out six in her four innings of work and reliever Nuñez fanned three in her inning. The Lady Eagles (2-0) had nine hits and capitalized on 8 errors by the Vipers (0-2). The top three in the batting order, Nuñez, Sherlly Roche, and Ami Casteleiro each had two hits. Synia Pardey, playing her first game for Southwest, had an inside-the-park home run to right field to highlight a 6-run second inning. |
