ALL 4 SENIORS GET HITS IN 17-1 WIN OVER SOUTHRIDGE ON SENIOR NIGHT
Tatiana Perez was 2-for-2 with a walk and RBI and threw a three inning no-hitter as Southwest topped visiting Southridge, 17-1, Wednesday night at Tropical Park. The game was preceded by a ceremony honoring the graduating seniors: Perez, Ami Casteleiro, Shantell Valle, Emma Gonzalez and team manager Daniela Alvarez. Casteleiro singled, walked and scored twice. Valle, singled, walked twice and scored three runs. Gonzalez tripled, drove in 2 runs and scored twice. Freshman Summer Garcia also had a big night with a single, double, walk, 2 runs and 2 RBIs. The Eagles are now 8-5, while the Spartans fall to 0-11.
