17 WALKS & 6 HIT BATTERS HELP LAKES DOWN EAGLES, 23-9
Southwest was a gracious host Monday afternoon at Tropical Park as Eagles pitchers handed out 17 walks and hit six batters, while the defense commited 9 errors, in a 23-9 loss to Hialeah Miami Lakes. The Trojans (11-4) were actually outhit, 9-6, in the game. Sophomore Sannaya Pardey had a big offensive game for Southwest (7-5). She homered in the third, singled in the fourth and tripled in the sixth. Sofia Valdes added two hits for the Eagles. Wednesday's Senior Night game will be played on field 4 at Tropical Park instead of our usual home diamond, field 2.
