FALLS TO PALMER TRINITY, 11-1
Tied 1-1 after three and a half innings, Palmer Trinity
scored six runs in the fourth inning and four more in the fifth to
defeat Southwest, 11-1, Friday night in the Orange Bowl Invitational
at Palmetto Bay Park. The Lady Eagles (4-7) took a 1-0 lead in the
top of the first inning when Sherlly Roche walked, stole second, and
moved to third on a ground out by Gaby Nuñez. D'Lani Navarro
followed with a line single to left plating Roche. Palmer Trinity
is now 6-2. The Falcons were a last minute replacement for Mater Lakes,
which withdrew from the tournament. |
