EAGLES GROUND TERRA, 9-2
The Eagles avenged an early-season loss Monday afternoon by defeating Terra, 9-2, at Tropical Park. After spotting the Wolves two first inning runs, one unearned, Southwest dominated the rest of the way to win its fifth game in a row. The Eagles (7-3) tied the game in the boittom of the first. Ami Casteleiro scored when Sannaya Pardey was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Sofia Valdes raced home on a wild pitch. Southwest scored its other seven runs in the third inning. The big hits were back-to-back doubles by Valdes and Pardey, the former driving in two runs and the latter plating one. Tatiana Perez picked up the win on the mound. Terra fell to 8-4.
