Yessenia Perez threw a six-inning no-hitter to lead host Southwest to a 10-0 victory over district rival Hialeah Gardnes Tuesday afternoon at Tropical Park. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when, with one out, Sherlly Roche reached on a ground ball to third base and then stole both second and third. Ami Casteleiro walked and D'Lani Navarro knocked them both in with a triple to right-centerfield. After a walk to Caitlyn Gorelick put runners on the corners, Camila Broz' ground out to third plated Navarro and gave the Lady Eagles (5-5) a 3-0 lead. It stayed that way until the botton of the sixth when Navarro doubled in Sherlly Roche who had walked. After four more consecutive walks, Priscilla Roche singled to right field to drive in 2 runs and make it 9-0. She soon scored and the ten-run rule kicked in, ending the game. Perez struck out five and allowed only five baserunners, three on walks, one on a hit batsman and one on an error. The Lady Gladiators fall to 4-4.
