EAGLES DEFEAT EDISON BY 12 Despite having two starters in dress clothes due to injuries, host Southwest defeated Edison, 49-32, Tuesday night. With Juan Castell and Tristan Castillo both out with injuries suffered in the Coral Park game, the Eagles (2-4) dressed only eight players, but it was enough to handle the Red Raiders (1-4). Edison led 9-8 after one quarter and 19-16 at the half. Ivan Fonseca's eight third quarter points helped Southwest take a 29-27 lead into the final period. Thiago Bourroul, who hadn't scored in the first three quarters, exploded for 15 points in the final eight minutes to keep Edison at bay. Isaac Navarro's defense played a big role as he recorded four steals in the final quarter.
