EAGLES SWEEP SEASON SERIES FROM EDISON Visiting Southwest held Edison to single-digit scoring in every quarter on its way to a 54-19 victory Friday night. The Eagles (9-11) led 11-5 after one quarter, 24-11 at the half and 34-19 entering the final period. The Red Raiders (3-10) were outscored, 20-0, in the fourth quarter despite the last 2:25 being played with a running clock due to the mercy rule. The 19 points were the fewest allowed by Southwest since a 68-18 victory over Reagan five years ago. |
