EAGLES LOSE ON SENIOR NIGHT

Southwest, down ten points at one point, rallied to tie the game but fell to Coral Reef, 54-52, on Senior Night at Southwest. The Eagles (8-10) rallied to tie the game, 40-40, on a Jeancarlos Arteaga three-pointer with 6:39 remaining. The Barracudas (9-8) went on a 10-2 run to take an 8-point lead with 3:22 on the clock. Southwest chipped away with another Arteaga trey, a basket by Ivan Fonseca and a Thiago Bourroul score with seven seconds left to make it 54-52. Coral Reef's throw-in man stepped on the end line with 0:04 left to give the ball back to the Eagles under their offensive basket. The ensuing throw-in by Southwest was funbled and time ran out.
