EAGLES END ROAD TRIP WITH 30-POINT LOSSSouthwest checked out of its Vero Beach hotel in the morning, but they were still checked out when their final game in the Holiday Hoopla tournament began Monday afternoon. Orlando Boone scored the first eleven points of the game on its way to a 64-34 thrashing of the Eagles. Southwest (3-10) did not score until 24 seconds remained in the opening quarter when Thiago Bourroul made a basket. Despite the horrid start, exacerbated by the inability to pull down an offensive rebound, the Eagles trailed by only six at the half, 21-15. Southwest made only five baskets in the second half, all three pointers, as the Braves (7-8) pulled away.
