Tiffany Ore, now Tiffany Clarke, was a dominating pitcher for the Southwest softball team. As a freshman, she struck out 11 in a shutout of South Dade and was 2nd team All-Dade. One year later, Ore was named the county's top softball player in class 6A after batting .500 with a 0.95 ERA. As both a junior and senior, she was first team All-State and recorded 202 strikeouts her 12th grade season. She went on to play JUCO ball at Indian River and tossed a no-hitter against Miami-Dade her sophomore year. Ore led the Lady Pioneers to the state and national championships in 2002, earning MVP honors in each tournament. She was a two-time first-team National Junior College Athletic Association All-American and participated on the NJCAA All-Star team at the 2003 Canada Cup. Ore then played at FIU where she set two school strikeout records. After her playing days were over, she coached at Sunset and Pace. In 2007, Tiffany was inducted into Indian River's Hall of Fame and, in 2016, she was inducted into the Florida College System Activities Association Softball Hall of Fame.
