JIM KILTIE
Football, Track
Graduated: 1964
Inducted: 2025

Jim Kiltie was a three-year starter on the football team, playing linebacker as a sophomore, safety as a junior and halfback his senior year. He was one of Dade County's top rushers with 425 yards on 105 carries. In a 6-0 win over Palmetto, he scored the only points of the game on an 11-yard run that saw him brush off six Panther defenders. Kiltie also caught four passes in that game in which the Miami Herald referred to him as a "one-man gang." His 146 yards against South Dade were the most of any Miami back in 1964. In track, his 440-yard relay team set a school record of 44.4 seconds that still stood when the event was discontinued due to the adoption of metric distances. After high school, he signed with Georgia Tech, where he played for legendary Yellow Jackets coach Bobby Dodd.
