SENIORS SHINE IN SENIOR NIGHT VICTORY OVER AMERICAN, 15-4

With major contributions from all three seniors, host Southwest pummeled American, 15-4, Friday night at Tropical Park. The Lady Eagles (10-3) took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when senior Ericka Noboa doubled home senior Gaby Nuñez and Ami Casteleiro. After the Patriots (15-3) tied the score in the second, Southwest scored five runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good. The Lady Eagles scored six more in the third and Kaylie Gil's two run homer in the bottom of the fifth ended the contest by the 10-run rule. Noboa was two-for-four, Nuñez was 2-for-3 with three runs scored, and senior Sandra Mangano stole two bases and scored twice.
