SOUTHWEST NO-HIT IN 12-2 LOSS TO IMMOKALEE

Three Immokalee pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter Friday afternoon in a 12-2 victory over Southwest in the Orange Bowl Invitational at Palmetto Bay Park. Trailing 10-0 in the bottom of the fourth, the Lady Eagles (4-6) scored twice without benefit of a hit. D'Lani Navarro and Jaylin Novoa both walked. Ami Casteleiro was then hit by a pitch for the second time in the game to load the bases. Yesenia Fonticiella hit the ball to right field but the right fielder forced Casteleiro at second, turning the apparent single into a fielder's choice. Navarro scored on the play and Novoa scored when Yessenia Perez grounded to second. The Indians are now 5-2.

Ami Casteleiro was the only Lady Eagle to reach base twice
