Southwest started slowly but ended up turning the game into a 74-32 rout of visiting iMater Charter School in the final preseason game. Down 8-3 early in the first quarter, the Eagles went on a 20-2 run to take control of the contest. Chris Murray had 15 of his 23 points in the first half to spark the rally. Southwest led 18-8 after one quarter, 34-16 at the half and 53-26 entering the final period. Once the lead reached 35 points in the fourth quarter, the mercy rule kicked in and the remainder of the game was played with a running clock. Orlando Fletcher scored 15 of his 18 points and Andre Abreu drained a trio of three-pointers in the second half. Murray was the top rebounder with 9 and Albert Hernandez dished out 4 assists.
