EAGLES ROUT ST. BRENDAN, 81-58

Joshua Fernandez lit it up from long distance to lead Southwest past St. Brendan, 81-58, in the final preseason game at Doral Academy charter school. 81 is the most points scored by the Eagles since an 88-77 overtime victory over Ferguson on Jan. 26, 2017. It's the most points scored in a regulation game since at least 2005. Southwest got off to a sluggish start, leading only 19-17 after one quarter. An 8-point second quarter by Fernandez, who finished with 17 points and 5 three-pointers, helped extend the lead to 44-33 at halftime. Eleven of the twelve players scored with three finishing in double-figures.
