EAGLES DROP PRESEASON GAME

Southwest was unable to handle Central's pressure defense in a 70-41 pre-season loss at St. Brendan. The Rockets, 12-11 last season, forced numerous turnovers. The Eagles went the first 3:55 of the game without a point, but rallied to tie the score 11-11 after one quarter. Central then dominated the second quarter to take a 32-19 halftime lead and extended the margin to 51-28 at the end of three periods. Emmanuel Cedeno came off the bench to score a team-high 16 points, hitting one three-pointer in each quarter.
