LATE TURNOVERS DOOM EAGLES, 62-58
Visiting Ferguson scored six points in a 26 second
span to pull away from Southwest and win, 62-58. Orlando Fletcher's
basket tied the game at 52-52 with 3:10 remaining in the game. The
Falcons (8-2, 4-2) then capitalized on two quick turnovers to take
a 58-52 lead with 2:46 left. Two three-pointers by Albert Hernandez,
who came off the bench after returning from a brief illness, gave
the Eagles (5-4, 2-3) a chance to tie the game. Down 61-58, Southwest
threw the ball away with 14.7 seconds on the clock, ending the threat.
Chris Murray scored 14 points, pulled down 7 rebounds, dished out
5 assists and blocked three shots for Southwest. The scoring:

Kevin Rodriguez' three-pointer with five seconds remaining gave the Southwest junior varsity a 43-42 victory over visiting Ferguson. The Baby Eagles (4-5) have now won four in a row. Adrian Piniero led all scorers with 18 points.
