EAGLES WIN 4th IN ROW, 49-40, AT SUNSET

Southwest won its fourth consecutive game, 49-40, at Sunset. The winning streak is the longest for the Eagles since they won six in a row during the 2009-2010 season. Southwest (4-2) used three early three-pointers from Albert Hernandez to jump out to a 16-6 lead early in the second quarter. The closest the Knights (1-6) were able to get was with 3:48 left in third quarter when they narrowed the lead to 28-24. The Eagles answered with a 10-3 run to stretch the margin back to 11. Orlando Fletcher had 14 points and 7 rebounds and Chris Murray came off the bench to dish out 4 assists. The scoring:

JV WINS FIRST, 45-31, AT SUNSET

The Southwest junior varsity won its first game of the season with a 45-31 win at Sunset. The Baby Eagles were led by Kevin Jimenez' 15 points and Darian Garcia added 13 points, all in the final quarter.
