The Eagles went the first ten minutes of the game without a basket in a 51-47 loss to the Cobras. Southwest (2-3) trailed 13-1 after one quarter, the only point coming on an Ethan St. Prix free throw with 2:07 on the clock. The score was 15-1 when Alejandro Diaz hit the first field goal two minutes into the second quarter. South Miami (2-3) also went cold in the second quarter, scoring only four points to lead, 17-8, at the half. Going into the final period, the score was 30-22 and the Eagles cut the deficit to four points with 35.8 seconds left, but it was too little, too late. |
