EAGLES DUNK 3 TIMES IN 31-POINT WIN

Southwest gave the fans a treat Monday night in a non-district home game against iMater Charter School. Also enjoying the show was former Eagle John Shoffner, now head coach at Webber International University, who was scouting in the stands. The Eagles (2-2) dunked three times in a 64-33 rout of the Knights (1-6). Southwest jumped out to a 20-6 lead after one quarter and head coach Roberto Fatjo substituted liberally throughout the game. Chris Murray, who had 8 points in the first quarter, scored on a one-handed dunk in the second quarter. Up 35-14 at halftime, Orlando Fletcher brought the crowd to its feet with a rim-rattling slam in the third quarter, soon to be followed by Murray's second dunk of the game. All nine Eagles who dressed scored, led by Murray's 14 points. Jean Grullon was the top rebounder with 7, Andre Abreu had 4 assists, Justin Pratt had 3 steals and Murray blocked two shots.
