EAGLES ROMP ON SENIOR NIGHT, 67-46

In front of a boisterous, standing-room-only crowd, Southwest's eleven seniors put on a show for the fans, dispatching visiting Homestead, 67-46. The two juniors on the team took the night off so as to spotlight the class of 2022. Nine of the eleven seniors scored, led by Carlos Taveras with 20 points. Popular team manager Kevin Reyes dressed to play for the first time but his opportunity was spoiled when a fight between the two teams broke out with 1:26 left in the game. The officials ended the game at that point rather than risking a resumption of the fighting. Southwest goes into next week's district tournament with a record of 14-7. The Broncos are 1-16.
