Senior Sean Perez scored a career-high 19 points, 13 in the second half, to lead visiting Southwest past a strong Terra team, 62-59, Thursday night. The Eagles (13-5) trailed 11-8 after the first quarter before rallying to take a 27-24 lead at the half. The Wolves (11-7), playing before a standing room only crowd, pulled to within one by the end of the third period. Perez his his fifth three-pointer of the night with 2:18 remaining to break a 50-50 tie. Terra scored four quick points to go in front by one but, with 1:18 on the clock, Joshua Fernandez scored and hit a free throw to put Southwest up, 56-54. The Wolves then started fouling and the Eagles were six-for-six from the line in the final minute with Ray Perez making four free throws and Carlos Taveras sinking two. Taveras led Southwest with 8 rebounds, Sebastian Ching dished out five assists and Fernandez stole the ball four times.
