Southwest jumped out to a 33-23 halftime lead and coasted to a 52-40 win over visiting Braddock. Albert Hernandez hit three 3-pointers in the first half and finished with 15 points for the Eagles (10-8, 4-5). Chris Murray was 8-for-8 from the line in the first quarter and ended up with 11 points, 5 assists and two blocked shots. Orlando Fletcher had 7 rebounds and Eddie Ramirez stole the ball twice. The three graduating seniors, Fletcher, Dayn Lopez and Andre Abreu were honored in a pre-game ceremony. The class of 2017 has a chance to be the first graduating class in fifteen years to record two winning seasons. The Bulldogs dropped to 6-10 overall and 2-8 in the district.
