EAGLES BLOW 20 POINT LEAD
STILL WIN IN OVERTIME, 83-79

Southwest blew a 20-point fourth quarter lead before turning back visiting Coral Reef, 83-79, Thursday night. The Eagles (12-4, 4-1) were up 66-46 with just under six minutes left in the game before the Barracudas (8-10, 0-5) went on a 22-0 run to take a 68-66 lead with 1:13 left in regulation. Baskets by Ray Perez and Carlos Taveras in the final minute tied the game at 70-70 and sent the contest to overtime. Taveras cooly sank four free throws in the final 1:01 of the extra period to give Southwest a four point lead, 81-77. Reef scored with 15.2 seconds to cut their deficit to two, but Jaycee Ruiz, who had 11 rebounds, made two free throws with 8.7 seconds left to seal the win. Perez had another strong game, recording a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Joshua Fernandez made six 3-pointers on his way to a 23-point night.
