Michael Almeida, who had missed the entire season as he rehabbed an injury, made his first appearance of the season when he entered the game to an ovation from the crowd to start the fourth quarter. The cheering got even louder when he scored the first basket of the period. Almeida finished with 4 points, 2 assists and 2 steals. Southwest's junior varsity came from behind to score a thrilling 49-47 victory over visiting iMater Charter. Darian Garcia's layup with 57 seconds remaining tied the score at 47-47, then his basket with 14.5 seconds left gave the Baby Eagles (7-9) the lead. Robert Abrahante stole the ball in the waning seconds to seal the win. Garcia led Southwest with 12 points while Carlos Luis and Ian Castellanos each added 9 points.
