EAGLES DOMINATE CORAL PARK, 40-7  

Jordan Worley threw for three touchdowns and ran for a fourth to lead Southwest to a 40-7 victory over Coral Park in the regular season opener at Tropical Park. Worley threw scoring passes to Nick Watson, Fanelle Andrus and Christopher Brice as he totaled 301 yards on 16-for-23 passing. Worley, Deondre Henry and Joel Talley, Jr. all had rushing touchdowns. The Eagles jumped out to a 27-0 lead before the Rams could score. In addition to the 301 yards through the air, the offense added 256 yards on the ground led by Henry who ran nine times for 85 yards. Southwest has not lost to its neighborhood rival since 2010. In a measure of how improved the Eagles are, this was a one-point victory a year ago. The stats are here.
