ARAUJO SCORES 31 IN OT WIN

Cameron Araujo scored 31 points to lead Southwest to a 50-46 overtime win at Coral Gables. The Lady Eagles (6-9, 4-3) led 20-16 at the half and extended the margin to 28-18 midway through the third period. The Lady Cavaliers (9-5, 4-3) rallied back to take a 38-37 lead with just over a minute to go in the game. Anne Martinez took an Araujo pass and scored with a minute left in regulation to put Southwest up by one (see video below) but the lead did not hold and regulation ended with a 40-40 tie. The Lady Eagles scored the first six points of the overtime period, four on a pair of Araujo baskets and the other two on an Ashley Fernandez bucket, to take command.
