COMINSKY THROWS 2-HITTER

J.J. Cominsky hurled a two-hit shutout, striking out nine, to lead Southwest to a 4-0 victory over Terra at Andre Dawson Field. Cominsky was dominant, facing three batters over the minimum and allowing only two runners as far as second base. The Eagles (7-3) scored all the runs they would need in the second inning. Leadoff batter Matthew Someillan was hit by a pitch and Evan Padron and Matthew Ferrer followed with singles to load the bases. Diego Santos walked to force in the first run. Aiden Vigoa reached on a fielder's choice plating Padron and Ferrer also scored on an errant throw. The fourth and final run came in the fourth inning. Ferrer and Santos drew consecutive one-out walks. A Vigoa comebacker advanced Ferrer to third and he scored on a throwing error.The Wolves fall to 6-6. The box score is here.
