BRYAN
MORGADO

PITCHING
COACH

Bryan Morgado, former head coach at district rival Ferguson, joined Southwest in May of 2018 as pitching coach. He compiled a record of 27-19 in two seasons leading the Falcons. A 2006 graduate of Florida Christian, he was named first team All-State and was drafted by the Red Sox in the 34th round, but turned down their offer to pitch at the University of Tennessee. After sitting out the 2007 season due to Tommy John surgery, he bounced back and was named a second-team freshman All-American in 2008. Morgado led the Vols in strikeouts in 2009 and was selected in the third round (102nd overall pick) by the White Sox but decided to return to Tennessee for his junior season. He was drafted for a third time following his junior year and signed with the Phillies, pitching seven seasons of minor league ball before retiring after the 2016 season. Morgado's cousin Danny was the quarterback at Southwest in the mid-90s and played with current Eagles football coach Donnie March.
